The idea of a cooperative experience where one player plays Goliath in all it’s glorious height, while the other one plays David in it’s small human-size. With its interesting, minimalistic graphic design and the clever technological usage of the VIVE in cooperation with the XBOX Kinect, this title awed the crowd as well as the judges.
This game – as one of the few – dared to and nailed the aesthetics of Japan in the Edo-Period. Colorful graphics with the nice touch of particles and a very nice and good readable UI paired with the tight gameplay made this game a favorite, not only at our Festival. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun received multiple German Developers Awards.
With it’s weird and still very interesting gameplay that uses movement of the player to translate it to the game character, it drew attention of a lot of onlookers who couldn’t wait to get their hands – or feet into this very interesting experience. You won’t play this in your living room, but keep an eye out at different venues, you might find it there.
