The MuseumsQuarters are at the vibrant center of the museumdistrict of the city of Vienna. Formerly the imperial stables, now cultural focal point: the perfect spot to show what games are made of!
For this year’s ReVersed Festival, we are working together with monochrom & ZOOM Kindermuseum to provide games to all ages! Spread over three locations, the Ovalhall, the Baroque Suites & the ZOOM Exhibition Area, each offers something different.
Q21 provides workspace for around 50 initiatives, organizations, agencies and editorial offices working in the cultural sector. This creative space is spread across over 7,000 sqm within the MQ. In this way, Q21 brings the “creative” aspect into one of the world’s largest complexes for art and culture.
Both the Ovalhall & the Baroque Suites are part of Q21.
The oval-shaped room, once used to house the emperor’s most exquisite horses, is one of the most popular and versatile event locations at the MuseumsQuartier due to its unusual layout.
The Baroque Suites on the first upper level of the MQ, offer a spectacular view across the Natural History and Art History Museums to the Inner City with the Hofburg Palace and St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
ZOOM is a children’s museum offering lots of cool things waiting to be discovered. It encourages kids to ask, touch, investigate, feel, and play to their heart’s content. When kids come here, they use all of their senses to explore the world – either by themselves or in little teams. They zoom in on objects and situations in their own individual way and discover themselves and their abilities in the process.
